Castellón - Azahar Coast

This Region offers you a seaboard with excellent beaches, stretching over more than 120 kilometres of coast, from beaches to coves lapped by the Mediterranean Sea, and natural spaces such as teh volcanic archipelago of Islas Columbretes, a nature and marine reserve of volcanic origin. Adjacent to a diverse and natural interior which cannot fail to move the visitor.
Our PaddleinSpain Center group is located in a village called Montanejos a tourist township with spectacular scenery, located in the Alto Mijares region.
This town of Arabic origin was formed when the Alquería de Abajo and the Alquería de Arriba (two hamlets situated at the bottom and the top of the area) became part of Montán Castle. La Alquería and Montanejos were inhabited by Moors until their expulsion in 1609.
The landscape is mountainous, with an elevation of 467 m and a Mediterranean climate.
Its natural spaces attract flocks of nature lovers and adventure sports enthusiats. People from all over the world come to enjoy its mountain slopes, whether for caving, climbing, hiking or bungee jumping, and they are one of Montanejos's biggest attractions.
