This activity takes place on the northern part of the beach of Famara, Playa de Famara is a long beach beaten by regular winds that blow from the northeast quadrant (side on) from April to August. A spot suitable for all levels of riders ideal to start or advance in this exciting (and now safe) Sports!
Instructor and materials suited to all weather conditions will be available to no more than four pupils simultaneously for the entire duration of kitesurfing. The small groups allow us to follow with attention and professionalism 'each of you, making learning easier and safer!
Our kitesurf course last differently depending on how fast each student learns. Generally, each session lasts three hours, but can vary according to individual capabilities.
After the first 3 hours is unlikely that a student is already self-sufficient and usually decides to do one more lesson of 3 hours in the afternoon or the next day. Done this many are already able to check the wing and no longer constitute a danger to themselves or others. From this point onwards we provide rental equipment (if the student has own material) and safety ground. This means that the beginner will get next to the school and we'll keep an eye so that they can say what is wrong, advising and giving security .
The course objective is to make the kiter in the sense of self that can move independently and do not pose a danger to themselves or others, and this corresponds roughly to the average level on all three levels of learning which usually refers.
BASIC LEVEL: Security, prevention, flight, force control, mortgage, use of the harness.
MEDIUM: flight training, technical recovery wing in water, body drag, first entered the water table.
ADVANCED LEVEL: Know your material and trim, upwind, maneuvers, jumps.
Restrictions:
- Minimum age: 16 years
- Juniors must be accompanied of an adult
- All participants must know how to swim
- Before your booking, please inform to the centre if you are exceptionally tall or overweight, or if you have any medical conditions, disabilities which affect your ability to partake in the activity
- In case the weather conditions are not favorable for kite surf lessons, we give you the possibility to change the kite surf lessons with those of surf, stand up paddle, or entertain yourself with pleasant hikes around the island.
