Menorca

The island of Peace!

Description:

Menorca (Minorca) is located at the eastern en of the Balearic Archipelago, and is the easternmost region of Spain.

The island is 47.8 kilometers long, measuring from the bay of Bajoli to the Espero de La Mola. At its widest point, it measures 19.5 kilometers. The perimeter is 220 kilometers, and the surface area 701.84 square kilometers.

Geologically, Menorca consists of two totally different regions: the north, the tramontana region, with about 267 square km, corresponds to the Primary, Secondary, and quaternary geological eras. And the south, known as the migjorn, with about 435 square km, is uniform in character and belongs to the Tertiary era. However, for centuries the inhabitants have traditionally divided the island into five distinct zones, differentiated by their morphology and, above all, by agricultural factors: tramontana (north), mitjania (center), migjorn (south), cap de ponent (western cape), and cap de llevant (eastern cape).

Minorca is synonymous with peace and quiet, with secluded coves lapped by turquoise waters, and of course, with luxury. During your visit you can stay in spectacular accommodation with a private spa, or in charming rural hotels decorated by designers in the manner of stately homes, surrounded by gardens and located beside stretches of unspoilt coast.

To explore the island by sea, the best idea is to rent a boat (either a sail, sea kayak - or a motor boat, whatever your passion) to take you to the most beautiful beaches. On land, if you are an experienced rider, you can enjoy a good gallop beside the sea. If you are looking for something a little more peaceful, get out your clubs and enjoy a round of golf just a few metres from the beach.

Fascinating landscapes, to go sailing and access the islands, most beautiful spots by sea, there are various types of vessel available to tourists: Catamarans, motor yachts, sailing boats, sea kayaking

Now all you have to do is enjoy the wonderful experience of water activities on the calm waters of the Balearics.

PaddleinSpain have several centers to provide the best experience.
