White water Rafting in Asturias

Cares river is waiting for you to discover and be introduced to the world of white water activities!


This activity gives you a chance to try out one of the most popular and fastest growing water sports ever. This funny experience will gets you from Arenas de Cabrales to Trescares through 12km (7.45miles) descending. This place is perfect for descend in Rafting trips down the amazing River Cares with a  picturesque scenery and ideal water conditions. All sessions are tailored either for complete beginners or for those with some previous experience to ensure everyone and has enjoyable and constructive time on the water. The Rafts are maximum capacity 6-7 people with the instructor guiding the boat and taking care of all participants. 

Once you have arrived to our PaddleinSpain center in Arenas de Cabrales and be welcomed, your day will begin with a thorough safety briefing covering the techniques and safety aspects of rafting. Once you get change at our facilities, our staff will transfer you to the wharf and the beginning point.

You will be descending around 2 hours from Arenas de Cabrales to Trescares place where you wil disembark. 

This descend is very intense and technique.

 An excellent day out, and a real achievement on every level.


  • Minimum age: 16 years 
  • Juniors must be accompanied of an adult 
  • All participants must know how to swim
  • Before your booking, please inform to the centre if you are exceptionally tall or overweight, or if you have any medical conditions, disabilities which affect your ability to partake in the activity

This activity is available from March to beginning June (depending water level conditions)

Required people: 4pax - large groups can be handled

It's included:

  • All the equipment required for the activity (boat, life jacket, paddle, helmet..) 
  • RC and accident insurance
  • Transfers
  • river guide

It's not included:

  • Swimming suit and towel, trainers or boots that can be submerged in water and another dry pair for after. 
  • A towel and complete change of clothes and shoes are necessary. 
  • If you wear glasses its a good idea to secure them with elastic.
