Kayak tour and birdwatching in Aiguamolls de l’Empordà (Costa Brava)

The activity will be placed in our center in Aiguamolls de l’Empordà (Girona)  it will be consisting in a half day activity (3hrs) in one of the richest places in river diversity of the Costa Brava.

The day starts at the PaddleinSpain Centre Group – this center is located in Sant Pere Pescador . This excursion is recommended to whom that love nature environment and like to paddle in a kayak. It is an easy trip, recommended for all ages and no experience required.
We will paddle around watching birds of the Aiguamolls Natural Park with our guides trained with the SEO Birdslife-Iberaves

You will meet your instructor, receive your equipment, for this activity we will use a Double or single sea-kayak, very stable and easy to manage, ideal for people who have no previous experience, for groups and couples.  Your instructor will be accompanying you all the time on board.

We will leave Sant Pere Pescador Yacht Club and paddle along the final stretch of Fluvià River, passing by the edge of the Aiguamolls, the Illa de Caramany, until we reach the river mouth. We will observe and identify the most characteristic bird species of the riverside forest, dune areas and coastline with help of a series of worksheets.

We will register the bird observations we make on the ornitho.cat portal to collaborate in citizen science. Ideal for groups of friends, couples and families.

Restrictions:

• Minimum age: 5 years
  
• Juniors must be accompanied of an adult (sharing the same kayak with an adult)
• All participants must know how to swim
• Before your booking, please inform to the centre if you are exceptionally tall or overweight, or if you have any medical conditions, disabilities which affect your ability to partake in the activity

This activity is available from Spring to Autumn (Groups out of season, under request)
