Open-kayak descend and Canyoning La Molinuca

The Cares, is well known because of the narrow and spectacular canyon it forms when passing the Picos de Europa.

The Cares river is located in Northern Spain, flowing through the Autonomous Communities of Asturias and León, until it joins the Deva River and flows into the Atlantic Ocean.

This activity gives you a chance to try out one of the most popular and fastest growing water sports ever. This funny experience will gets you from Arenas de Cabrales and Trescares  through 9km (5.5miles) descending. This place is perfect for canoeing trip down the amazing River Cares with a first kilometer more wild, intense and funny and the rest of the descend very picturesque scenery and ideal water conditions. All sessions are tailored either for complete beginners or for those with some previous experience to ensure everyone and has enjoyable and constructive time on the water.

The canoes are very stable, inflatable sit-on-top boats easy to manage and you do not need previous experience, however this is going to be a wild experience, so is totally recommended not to be scary on water, as we will be passing through sever rapids class III.

Once you have arrived to our PaddleinSpain center in Cabrales and be welcomed, your day will begin with a thorough safety briefing covering the techniques and safety aspects of canoeing.

After this great adventure we will have time to have lunch (there is many local restaurants where you can take local food and rest a little bit).

In the afternoon we will go straight to La Molinuca  only a few minutes  away from our Lunch place, and we will do the activity of Canyoning .This is going to be a good experience for being introduce on this type of activity through gorges that will involve you running down wet slabs of rock, jumps into pools and slides we make our way down the canyon. This package is highly recommended and suitable for everybody.

• Before your booking, please inform to the centre if you are exceptionally tall or overweight, or if you have any medical conditions, disabilities which affect your ability to partake in the activity
• Weather conditions can be affecting this activity. 

This offer is available from  March to July (Canoeing can be affecting for the low water on river conditions)
